Samsung Electronics has officially announced its new audio player K3. We mentioned the device late in November, however there was little info about it. Taking into account design, Samsung K3 looks like Samsung K5, but without the part with stereo speakers.

Samsung positions the new product as its slimmest MP3-player at the moment – 6.8 mm. The player is equipped with a 1.8” OLED display. In addition to music functionality the device can display JPEG pictures and run slideshows. As for the music, the payer supports MP3, WMA, DRM10 formats. There is an FM-tuner.

On a single charge the player lasts for 25 hours in music mode. It is available with 2, 4 and 8 GB flash ROM onboard. The release is set for March.

ASUSTeK Computer has unveiled a new notebook series W5Fe. These 12” notebooks are based on the W5F series. But the new series differs from the previous one in an additional small LCD display on the top of the cover. Like the W5F it is equipped with the revolving Web-camera for video conferences.

The company notes that the model has a revolutionary peculiarity – an additional display, which works on Windows SideShow independent platform without launching the operating system. It provides access to diary, contacts, recent e-mail, photos, besides you can play some simple games and listen to the music. The W5Fe notebook can be used as a navigator, with the cover closed.
